How to get rid of stress

Kiss stress goodbye...unless you...

                                                                                 26  activities that reduce stress:

1.       Take over! Get the wheel! Trust me stress can’t drive and never managed to get a driving license!

2.       Call or go out with someone who cheers you up! Make out!

3.       Call your family. Ask them how they’re doing. Do something for them.

4.       Clean your mind from all the trash: negative thoughts, pessimism, jealousy, insecurity.

5.       Go for a nice workout! Yes you are the sporty type! Everybody is! Find what you like, find where you can practice it near your home/work, get equipment, start going!

6.       Dance! Either at home or go out with friends to dance.

7.       Take a nice shower, put on nice clothes and go for a walk.

8.       Do something that you enjoy- read a book, cook a meal for your friends, watch your favorite show or anything that makes you feel good and relaxed.

9.       Plan you schedule…but do not overload it. Do the most unpleasant or hard things first. Don’t forget to reward yourself.

10.   Don’t panic! You may use stress as a driving force and not a paralyzing one!

11.   Make yourself a nice cup of tea and enjoy some music you like.

12.   Don’t abuse coffee! If you’re anxious or stressed- reduce all stimulants.

13.   Become a volunteer in a charity center or event. Sometimes anxiety is a result of too much self-centeredness.

14.   Start practicing acceptance for events that are not under your control.

15.   Try to laugh about your problems. Do they have a funny side? Laughter reduces stress significantly so>>>

16.   Laugh!

17.   Start thinking about the good things in your life and make it a habit to be grateful about them. No one has everything. But the stress-free people are not those who have, but those who appreciate and are happy with their lives. Count your blessings :P

18.   Take action- if your stressor is something you can fix- move! Fix it!

19.   Develop a healthy habit and create your personal relax time and space. It will be your little space for self-care and treatment. You’ll say “I don’t have the time.” So, create it. No one has the time ;))))

20.   Spend a good time…not money. Attempts to reduce stress through shopping, normally causes even more stress.

21.   Decide what matters…to you and take one thing at a time. Don’t try to do everything perfect. Do the things that matter…to you!

22.   Let go! Just accept that we can’t control everything, and moreover trying to do so we miss out the essence- the life.

23.   Let yourself be who you are- and accept others as they are. At least try :)

24.   In case of crisis take “Fukitol”.

25.   Get rid of the expression “must”. Try to replace it with “it will be good if”. Do you feel a difference?

26.   Change your perspective. Sometimes it is not that bad!

     See you soon guys! Love!

  2. That's helpful! Stress is like a part of me! I can't even imagine what is to live a life in piece. Must be awesome. I want to start working on calming down myself a bit. At the end of the day- why being in stress? What's the worth. No matter what happens, everything ends at some point anyway! So I need to relax! Cool article, Geri. Write more like this one with what to do. Thank you!

    1. Dear Thomas,

Stress is a common issue that many many of us (including me) are dealing with. It is a societal problem, apart from being a personal one. The thing is that we can resolve the issue only personally. Each person taking care for him/herself, makes good for the whole, because he/she causes less stress and troubles to other people in their surroundings. Try out some of these things and let me know, Thomas. Did anything work for you? I hope so! Thank you for commenting and stepping by! Visit very soon for some new Psychology n' stuff!! xoxo Geri
