Morning rituals

Morning rituals

One of the most important parts of the day is the morning. How we welcome the new Sunrise determines more than we give credit for.
Waking up when it's still dark outside and intuitively moving around the house and doing the usual rituals one after another. The cup of rich coffee in my favorite cup has the smell of a rising day. And as seasons change towards summer each and every morning becomes brighter.

In my country we have a saying "You can judge the day by the morning."

Following this saying, I decided to mention some morning rituals

Apart from the well known morning coffee ritual, that is common amongst many of us- is there anything that can enhance the quality of the day even before you go out of the bed?
First of all, I'll quote one of the actors I like so much- Kamen Donev. He says that the first thing to do in the morning, the very very first, before anything else is to say: "Thank you God, that I'm alive!" I like this. Some start with stress- some others with gratitude.

Another thing to do...even before you leave your bed :PP
Stretching in the bed for at least five minutes is a way not only to have a smooth and less stressful transition from sleep to your day, but also to wake up more easily and tone your body (much more realistic than a morning workout).

However, stretching is not enough...

Even though we all know the Chinese proverb:
"Eat your breakfast by yourself, share your lunch with your friend and give your dinner to your enemy"- many, many of us follow the exact opposite pattern-

Morning food: none

Food at work: sandwitch, crackers, fast food
Dinner: Compensation for the starvation during the day

It is important to take time to make breakfast as it is the most important meal of the day.

And by breakfast I mean actual food...not a cappuccino (as my breakfast looks like very often)

Another morning ritual- Morning positive attitude. Is it a mission impossible? When you have to wake up at 6 and start the day quickly-many people find it difficult to be positive, especially when they didn't have time for themselves for many weeks and feel tired and demotivated.

A common barrier of a bright morning is when instead of taking time to prepare for the day and have a positive outlook...we watch news and start the day with problematic issues and unconscious feeling of stress...Charging can happen every day, instead of waiting for the vacation. And it can happen in the morning (when we actually need our energy), instead of waiting to go home in the evening.

Another morning ritual: Take some time for meditation instead of watching TV...it can be for a few minutes...

Meditate during the day as well...

I hope that Psychology and stuff made your day a bit more beautiful. Love! Geri xxx
