Beauty and wellness

Beauty and wellness

Irresistible powerful home treatments

Part of our psychological well-being is directly linked to the way we treat ourselves. Self-treatment is related to self-esteem, relationships with others, satisfaction and even achievement. Failing to treat ourselves properly not only makes us miss a very pleasant everyday routine, but also the opportunity to enhance considerably our overall quality of life. The beauty and wellness posts will be series of small articles directly related to applicable advice for taking care of yourself and feeling a lot better both physically and mentally.

"You can't be fabulous and lazy at the same time." Sophia Loren

Today's title contains two interrelated words- beauty and wellness. Of course I'm not referring only to beauty as the stereotype that we're used to be exposed to by the media. It is the feeling that a certain person, place, sound, sight or smell could create. "Beauty" is not a plain objective fact. It is subjective and its essence is mostly related to the emotion that one creates.  Beautiful people, places, sounds, smells, sights etc create the feeling of bliss, the feeling of joy and make our lives better. Consequently the first and most important rule of beauty is:

"Create a blissful feeling!"

To be able to do that we need a certain amount of self-respect and confidence, which is achieved through many different practices, some of which are our daily routines. Today I'll present you with irresistible magic recipes that have the power to boost your mood and make you feel fabulous.

Today's recipes: Body scrubs

Body scrubs are essential part of maintaining one of our most important organs- our skin. The skin is in constant contact with the environment and it needs special care to be preserved. For smooth and beautiful skin it is recommended to use scrubs once per week (not more often than that). Body scrubs help in the process of skin regeneration through removing the layer of dead cells. Today I'm sharing with you two great recipes that will boost your mood and will make your skin smooth, beautiful with natural healthy glow. Here they are:

1. Body scrub with avocado

This is one of my favorite recipes. It is very easy to make with simple ingredients, yet using it, you'll have the most glowing, smooth and dreamy smelling skin. Fall in love with it and make the avocado scrub a must product in your home spa selection!

 Products:

jar (preferably from glass with wooden or metal lid)

brown sugar

avocado oil

1-2 drops of orange essential oil

Fill 80% of your jar with brown sugar. Add avocado oil and make sure that it covers the sugar fully. Preferably the oil will be at least half inch above the sugar. Add a few drops of orange essential oil (if you're not allergic to essential oils). Mix the scrub very well with a wooden spoon. Enjoy!

2.Body scrub "Oriental breeze"
A Royal recipe

jar (preferably from glass with wooden or metal lid)

coffee grounds

3 tea spoons of raw honey

2 tablespoons of bright ghee oil

1-2 drops of bergamot oil

This recipe serves you in several amazing ways. It exfoliates your skin, it gives your skin an amazing smell and it has a slimming effect, since the caffeine stimulates the blood circulation. Put the coffee grounds in the jar. Add the bright ghee oil and mix well. Then melt the raw honey and add it to the other ingredients and mix well. Add 1-2 drops of oil of bergamot or other essential oil of your choice (pachulli, ylang-ylang etc. for an exotic experience.) Mix the ingredients very well. The scrub is ready to use!

Hope this post was useful and that it will make your everyday routine amazing! Thank you for stepping by! Love yourself and take care!!! See you soon! xoxo

  7. We use sometimes avocado as a cream whenever we have a minor skin problem of as a maintenance, but I guess your body scrub with avocado seems more interesting. I would love to try it. Is it okay not to include the brown sugar?

    1. Hey Steven,

The avocado cream sounds interesting to me :) will try it!! I guess if you want to use the recipe as a scrub you can include some kind of natural ingredient that can do the job. Doesn't have to be sugar. Whole grains is another idea (haven't tried it though). You can also use regular sugar and also sea salt. Avocado oil is great on its own and it really nurtures the skin makes it soft and silky :)))) try and let me know what you think, but from all base oils this is definitely my favorite!! Thank you for uploading a comment Steven. Hope to hear from you again!!
