How to make homemade recipes for a perfect face

Body care

Home Spa recipes

 Why use them?

Homemade cosmetics are products of another level. They are fresh and are made with high quality selected ingredients of your choice. It is essential to use organic or homemade body cosmetics, because we apply the products on big portions of our skin. Consequently, if we use products with toxic ingredients (body lotions, body oils, body butters etc.), bigger quantity of them may enter the blood stream and consequently could be harmful for our health. Many times we are careful about the cosmetics that we use for our face and we don’t pay too much attention on what we use for our bodies. Considering our health, it should be the opposite.

Good news! Sugar can be good for you! How? it is revealed in today's post. There is actually a simple trick that you can use to stay fit and beautiful. Whatever has too many calories to eat- put it on your face ( note: this does not apply to meat and all cooked food!! haha)

Now, for example you can use bananas, chocolate and caviar for facial masks instead of a meal (or better yet split them in half). Some will say- "are you out of your mind?", others will know the benefits!

Today’s recipes:

1.       BODY SCRUB- CRYSTAL ROSE GARDENS

Ingredients:

White sugar, Apricot base oil, rose water essence, a beautiful jar.

In a 400 ml. jar put 350gr. of white sugar. Add apricot oil until you cover the sugar. Put 2 drops of rose oil and mix. Enjoy! J

2.       Face mask- “GOOD MOOD”

Ingredients:
1 banana, natural cocoa, 1 tea spoon honey, 1 tea spoon creamer, 2 drops orange oil.

Preparation:
Make a puree from the banana and add the honey, the creamer and the orange oil. Add a few drops of water to the cocoa and mix it well. Then mix the two together and apply to the face and the neck. Leave on for 20 min. The mask is called “GOOD MOOD”, because of the nice mixture of fresh smells that it provides to the senses.

Using homemade cosmetics is definitely not as simple as buying them ready, but they're much better and contain fresh products of your choice, unlike many cosmetics that contain dangerous ingredients.Hope you like today's recipes and they'll make your day brighter. xoxo Geri

How to detox your body: clean your body just as you clean your home

   How to detox your body

Have you ever thought what your body looks like on the inside? We all know that inner beauty is as much important as it is the visible one and they are interconnected. Here are some principals for inner purification (literally)...
Treat your body as your primary home. Take care of your body the same way you take care of your home. This includes maintenance and cleaning, intake of necessary ingredients, and wise consumption. You wouldn’t let your home be full of garbage, right? Everybody enjoys a clean and beautiful home. We often take care of your outer appearance (the facade) and we sometimes forget about the inside. This post is a simple reminder of...

How to clean your body?

Having days for cleaning your body is a necessary step toward tonus and good health. Many of the foods and drinks that we consume daily contain preservatives, colorants, and modified substances and some of them are not processed by our organs and remain in our bodies. What we need to do from time to time is to clean these substances and toxins. What are the methods to do this?

1.       1 day per week: only fruit (preferably apples), tea and water consumption (no soda, no alcohol)
.     No food consumption on full moon (consuming only water for 24 hours)
3.       Body cleansing with English salt (intake in the morning) consumption of tea, water and fruits throughout the day (better do it on the weekend).
4.       1 week per month- no salt, no sugar regime
5.       Drinking a lot of water (2L per day and this does not apply only to the detox days/weeks).
6.       One day per week- only liquids, one day per week only whole grain foods, muesli and a lot of water

Top foods for body cleansing:
-Apples
-Beets
-Celery foods
-Kale
-Blueberries
-Cabbage
-Garlic
-Grapefriet; Lemon; Lime
-Watercress
-Seaweed
-Vegetable Soups
-Omega 3 foods

For the effective detoxification drink a lot of tea and water!!!

Intake of necessary foods:

There is a difference between consuming calories and consuming nutritive foods. It is important to consume foods that contain many nutrients and to try to intake high calories foods, mainly if there are benefits for your body. Olive oil, nuts, avocado and many other high calories foods have a direct health benefits for the body, so they can be considered as “good calories” and on the other hand they're foods that do not clutter your body with unnecessary "garbage".

Avoid: foods with too many preservatives, foods with too long expiring period, canned food, foods with many colorants, salty foods, and sweets, foods with artificial flavors, foods with aspartame.

I bet that once you start detoxifying it will become one of your favorite habits! Take care my friend! xoxo Geri
